The world is changing.
Human worth is not.
Neumera is an independent civic information project launched in Switzerland to track how AI reshapes human society — and to argue that the future must remain worth living in for everyone.
We can build more powerful intelligence without building a less human society.
AI may help people live healthier, more creative and materially secure lives. It may also concentrate power, strain institutions and make some people feel economically unnecessary. Neither story is inevitable.
The social rules surrounding technology determine who benefits. That is why Neumera focuses less on model launches and more on the questions that affect families, workers, schools, communities and governments.
We are a new, independent public-interest publication — not an academic institute, registered charity, political party or governmental authority. Our ambition is to become a trustworthy meeting place for evidence, debate and civic action.
Our guiding idea is simple: human dignity is not earned by productivity. The value of a life does not diminish as machines become more capable.
Four commitments.
Show the sources.
Differentiate measured outcomes from scenarios and claims.
Resist false binaries.
Neither technological hype nor apocalyptic certainty helps people think.
Put people first.
Ask what decisions remain in human hands and who can challenge outcomes.
Make ideas usable.
Turn insight into clear demands for governments, institutions and citizens.
